I used to sketch with pencils. But it’s very hard to get good contrast with those, unless you use 6B of course. But smudge a 6B line with your hand and you get a nasty stain (or maybe it’s my sweaty hands).
Then I discovered that a good black balpoint works perfectly for contrasts, and fades, and it dries. You just can’t make any mistakes.
The sketches here are all done with a pocketsized sketchbook and an ordinary black ballpoint.
These are not sketches, some are results of sketches though.
